Edmund Savage (they/them) is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and intimacy coordinator (IC). They have worked on major productions such as HBO’s We Own This City and Chris Rock: Selective Outrage for Netflix along with interning at media/production companies based in their hometown of Baltimore, MD and volunteered with the Maryland Film Festival (MdFF).

They have received the Raft Woodus Social Activist Award for their advocacy work for marginalized students within higher education, assisted with the WAMM (Women And Minorities in Media) Festival, and won best LGBT short for their directorial debut, Oracle at DMOFF (Direct Monthly Online Film Festival).

As an artist, Edmund’s goal is to create and share authentic stories by centering the experiences of diverse communities. They are heavily influenced by their advocacy work and continue to support grassroot organizations/initiatives that directly assist Black people, LGBTQ+ folx, and people living with HIV.

Edmund earned their B.S. in Electronic Media & Film at Towson University (2020) and is now enrolled in their Professional Studies M.A. program with a focus on studying intimacy within Black cinema.

They are currently training with the SAG-AFTRA organization, IDC Professionals to receive certification as an intimacy coordinator for film and television along with working on a new film titled IPV, which earned them 2nd place at the 2024 Baltimore Pitch Competition.
